Have Fun Even If Your Date Sucks

How often when on a date we feel tense, especially when we realize that our date isn't the kind of partner (or human being) we want in our life? It's so easy to get bogged down and feel like we are trapped in our own date!
Everyone I know has one of these horror stories to tell. Getting trapped in your own date can be something we can all relate too, yet we are usually not aware of how easily we can get out of that awful situation... even while having some fun in the process. And, no, I'm not talking about cruel fun, I'm talking about honest fun that can even turn the tide for the date, helping your date relax in your presence and laugh with you.
It's surprising how often we forget, that the point of a date is to have fun while getting to know someone!
So even if you know that this person isn't "the one" (or even close to "the one" for that matter), there is no reason why you can't still have fun. Especially when you don't ever have to see him again.
Have fun on your dates, even when you know they are not going anywhere. Here are a few ways in which you can jump start the fun on a dud date:
Tell your date: "I have a silly and fun idea: let's talk with different accents from now own during our date, it'll be fun!"
Change venue to someplace you enjoy.
Ask off-the-wall, silly, fun questions like: If you were a type of cake would you be? If you could have only one superpower, what would it be and why? What is the worst joke you've ever heard?
And of course, if worst comes to pass you can always excuse yourself and say that you have to go. But don't use this unless as a last resort. Remember the idea is to have fun, and dates are a great opportunity to try new things and silly ways to have fun.
It's All About the Fun
The point of a date is to have fun while getting to know someone you wanted to meet. And the ways of having fun on a date are only limited by your imagination.
Some of the ways we talked about here are:
  • Talking in different accents.
  • Changing venues to someplace you enjoy.
  • Asking silly and fun questions.
Remember to have fun, even if the guy on the date with you isn't "the one".
